Fox News Special Shot at Franciscan University of Steubenville: “Losing Faith in America?”

by Steve Ray on September 25, 2015

STEUBENVILLE—On July 25, a FOX News crew led by FOX anchor Bill Hemmer came to Franciscan University of Steubenville during the Defending the Faith Conference and interviewed Franciscan University faculty, conference speakers, and students, including theology professor Dr. Scott Hahn and sociology professor Dr. Anne Hendershott.

The results of those interviews will be seen in a FOX News Special, “Losing Faith in America?” The one-hour documentary is anchored by Hemmer and premieres Friday, September 25, at 10:00 p.m. ET on FOX News. Additional airings are on Saturday, 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, 9:00 p.m. ET.

Set against the backdrop of Pope Francis’ visit to America, according to FOX News, the report acknowledges “that attendance at Christian churches has been going down for decades and fewer people identify as Christian.” But the report also finds “pockets of inspiration throughout the country that may point to the future,” which is what brought FOX News to Franciscan University of Steubenville.

The documentary premieres shortly after Pope Francis celebrates Mass at Madison Square Garden and departs Friday evening for Philadelphia.
