Questions I Answered on Catholic Answers Live

by Steve Ray on April 10, 2013

Earlier this week I was on Catholic Answers Live taking calls from non-Catholics only. You can download the Podcast here, or listen on-line here.

Here are the questions I answered:

1) A Baptist asks: Are the Apocryphal books in the Catholic Bible inspired?
2) A Pentecostal asks: Why do Catholic pray to dead people when they cannot know anything?
3) Someone searching asks: Is the Pope Jesus Christ on earth? Why does he get so much praise?
4) Anonymous asks: I’ve come to believe Jesus is present in the Eucharist but since I am a Jesus Only Pentecostal (denies the Trinity), I am conflicted about becoming Catholic. (very good discussion)

Hello Dear Brother in Christ !
I love what God has you doing to help us all . I was a fallen away lost Catholic & God sent me in my Journey to fine EWTN & great people like You who share & help us in this journey of Life .
I thank you so much for all that you are doing … I am Praying & asking God to help me to become debt free so I can save & go on one of your great trips & that I keep growing in my Faith & in this Journey .
I became a sponsor in my business with my whole organization of great people of God & their families. We are honored to Help others as God has helped us with this awesome food that has changed so many of our lives & our loved ones … John Paul II invited our Doctors & Corporate to the Vatican Twice & honored Our loving Dr. Theodore Kalogris for his great work in feeding under nourished children by helping those of us here who need to change our eating habits less sticky junk that clog & rust & harm our cells then our organs within … It took Faith for me to give this a chance that came from Jesus & Mary & the great people who have built this great company . Please pray for us all in our work sir as we are praying for you & all of our sisters & brothers . I see Heaven is guilding us all in a very unique way !

Please know that I pray I get to go with you on one of those wonderful trips ;-) Thy Will Lord Be Done … I sure would be so Grateful if I could … God Bless you Steve Ray & your Family !

Good job Steve, just listened to thge interview on my PC, from the CA radio archives.

I really liked the last caller, she seemed so passionate about her faith and I will be praying for her, since I saw she was troubled.

One question I have: what are ” Jesus Only Pentecostal”? I have heard about many unitarian denominations, but not this one.

Do they accept only the divinity of Jesus? (although as heresies go Arianism is more coherent with a superficial reading of scripture)

STEVE RAY HERE:
Jesus Only Pentecostals are like Muslims in that they deny a Trinity. Jesus is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is only one Person and it is Jesus who is God.
